APOL-1 Kidney Disease (AKD) Awareness Day
April 30, 2026
APOL1 kidney disease is a serious and often aggressive condition that disproportionately affects people who may identify as Black, African American, Hispanic, Latino, or Afro-Caribbean and places them at much higher risk of kidney failure, yet there are still no approved treatments. Your donation can help fund critical research, raise awareness in affected communities, and move us closer to life-saving solutions. Together, we can bring hope, support families, and make a real difference in the fight against this disease.
This organization is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization, and your donation is tax deductible within the guidelines of U.S. law. Please keep your receipt as your official record. We'll email it to you upon successful completion of your donation.
