Activity Overview
This CME event is dedicated to knowledge sharing around rare protein-spilling kidney diseases (glomerular diseases) and clinical trials. This Rally will help further clinical practice in an area that contains large knowledge and performance gaps. Without a forum, a large gap develops between the research and the day to day care of patients. The result is an uneven quality of care and missed opportunities for patients to gain access to new treatments and clinical trials. Sessions will detail the complexities of treating glomerular disease patients, the wide variations of patient reactions to treatment, prevention strategies, and the optimal management of care. Expert faculty will present the most current research issues and practice recommendations to support clinicians and providers in the care of patients with glomerular diseases. Additionally, nephrology has lagged in the coordination and execution of clinical trials and a session will be devoted to educating attendees about interventional research.
